Before There Were Nine Volumes,
There Was the First Ride.
This is where Trent “The Madman” Jackson began opening up the DIZAZTA AREA MUSIC catalog from behind the DJ controls.
Different albums.
Different artists.
Different sounds that weren't created to live inside one project.
DJTJ heard something between them.
DJTJ Mega Mixes Volume 1 introduced the idea that the catalog itself could become a journey.
One record could lead somewhere completely unexpected.
One transition could open another part of the DIZAZTA universe.
This is where the Mega Mix journey begins.
Give a DJ Enough Music
And He'll Build His Own World.
That's what Trent “The Madman” Jackson did with
DIZAZTA AREA MUSIC.
He didn't have to experience the catalog one album at a time.
He could reach across it.
Pull from different artists.
Move between hip-hop, melody, rhythm and soul.
Then use the transitions to create something that belonged to DJTJ.
Volume 1 established the formula.
The DIZAZTA catalog provides the music.
The Madman creates the route.

DJTJ Mega Mixes Volume 1
The Beginning of the Joy Ride
Every series has a moment before anybody knows
what it will become.
This was that moment for DJTJ.
Trent took music from across the DIZAZTA roster and started connecting it through his own instincts as a DJ.
A familiar track could suddenly have a different record behind it.
Another artist could appear next.
The energy could rise, fall, turn and rebuild.
The albums remained the albums.
But inside the Mega Mix, DJTJ created another
way to experience them.
Volume 1 became the starting point for something that would continue across multiple volumes—a DJ traveling through the DIZAZTA AREA MUSIC catalog and leaving his own fingerprints on the route.
Before Volume 2.
Before Volume 5.
Before Volume 9.
The first Joy Ride had to leave the station.
This is where Trent started the engine.
Every Journey Has
A First Mile.
This one belongs to Trent “The Madman” Jackson.
DJTJ Mega Mixes Volume 1 is where listeners can return to the beginning and hear the foundation of a series that would keep traveling deeper through DIZAZTA AREA MUSIC.
